The management program is designed to prepare students for careers or continuing education in management or entrepreneurship and was written to incorporate the Business Administration Core Standards published by the Marketing Education Resource Center.
This program focuses on business management and the development of an extensive business plan that encompass all areas of business. Coursework introduces the student to business communications, procedures, operations, security, information technology and applications which are all needed to operate a successful business. Students will continue to develop educational, career, and professional plans in the area of business management.
Applied Academic Credit
Personal Finance content from the Business Fundamentals Curriculum was aligned to the 2004 Mississippi Personal Finance Framework Revised Academic Benchmarks. Upon the completion of this program, students will earn 1/2 Personal Finance credit that can be used for graduation requirements. The Business Fundamentals Curriculum framework includes economics content aligned to the 2004 Mississippi Economics Framework Revised Academic Benchmarks. Upon completion of this program, students will earn 1/2 Economics credit to meet graduation requirements.
